Follow me as I share my hair life with the internet :) I don't reblog things that you all are already reblogging.
And here’s my flat ironing blabber… and a general hair update
My hair is currently flat ironed straight and I like the “break.”
I also really like the ApHogee Keratin & Green Tea Restructurizer and I want to continue using it to help my hair get even stronger. A full review is coming soon. I’m just mad that it only works with heat so I will be incorporating it into this plan.
Winter Hair Plans:
I was thinking of keeping my hair semi-stretched 50% of the time by way of flat ironing on a very low 200-250 degrees Fahrenheit (instead of my usual 400). So that means all the poof and frizz will still be there. I could do it 100% of the time but I don’t want to get too used to not having my kinks and I don’t want any kind of permanent curl loosening.
I’m thinking 3 weeks flat ironed and 3 weeks non-flat ironed until spring weather comes back. I will still do protective styles with the stretched hair. It will just be bigger and longer (yes, I know I gotta be very careful)
Why don’t I just blowdry it? The spray makes your hair sticky with just a blowdry.
Thoughts and recommendations are always welcome.
Sidenote: I started heat training my mom’s hair. She’s in her mid-60s and disabled and she was sincerely having trouble managing her twa on her own, given her illnesses (and she won’t take any product recommendations from me lol smh). So I after a lot of thought, we decided that heat training would be best for her needs at this time. She has dense, gray/black 4c hair at about 3-4 inches.
